In recent years, the demand for plastic recycling in Sri Lanka has been increasing due to market demand and policy requirements. In order to improve the efficiency of plastic recycling and accelerate the transformation and upgrading of enterprises, our Sri Lankan customer came to Shuliy Machinery to visit the PP pelletizing machine on February 19. The purpose of this visit is to examine the performance of the plastic granulator, explore customized solutions for recycled plastic pellet making, and promote further cooperation and communication between the two sides.

Background to this visit

Currently, Sri Lanka’s plastic recycling rate is below 15%. The government supports the industry’s growth and plans to mandate recycled plastic in new projects like textile parks. It has also adopted the 2030 Sustainable Recycling Plan and introduced export zone incentives to drive sustainability. Shuliy’s modular plastic pelletizing equipment is the preferred solution for Sri Lankan companies to improve plastic recycling due to its high adaptability, low energy consumption design, and internationally certified finished product quality.

Our Sri Lankan customer, who mainly recycles PP, PE, and industrial waste, said that the local PE PP pelletizing machines in Sri Lanka generally have problems of low efficiency and high energy consumption, and hoped that Shuliy’s plastic pelletizer could help him solve these problems.

Factory Tour Highlights

Accompanied by Shuliy’s technical team, the customer had an in-depth inspection of our plastic PP pelletizing machine and focused on the following highlights:

  1. High adaptability of our plastic pellet making machines for PP, PE, LDPE, etc. plastic raw materials
  2. Modular design can be flexibly adapted to different production needs, such as free choice of heating method, die head type, plastic pellet cutting method, etc. For the lightweight plastic film, we can also adjust the forced feeder to ensure uniform and stable feeding to avoid jamming and winding.
  3. Dual hydraulic heads can ensure continuous and stable production of plastic pellets without frequent stopping to change the screen.
  4. Full automation, high production efficiency. From the input of crushed and cleaned plastic pieces to the output of finished pellets, Shuliy pelletizing system integrates PLC intelligent control system, realizing automatic parameter adjustment and fault warning, safe and easy to operate.
  5. Energy saving and high efficiency: The electromagnetic heating system can realize rapid heating, saving about 30-70% energy compared with the traditional heat transfer method.

Cooperation Outlook

We accompanied the customer to the plant to demonstrate the PE PP pelletizing machine and the process of plastic pellet production. The customer was very satisfied with the demonstration and expressed his confidence in visiting the Shuliy plant and learning about Shuliy’s previous successes in Sri Lanka, Ghana, Mozambique, etc.

We promised him that we could provide a customized PP pelletizing machine to maximize the plastic pelletizing efficiency according to the actual production requirements.
