In order to improve the purity of recycled PET and increase the recycling efficiency, a South African customer engaged in plastic bottle recycling recently inquired and purchased a plastic bottle de-labeling machine from our company to achieve good recycling results.

The customer’s main challenges in PET bottle Recycling
Difficulty removing labels: PVC labels with glue are often attached to the surface of collected plastic bottles, which affects the purity of the final rPET. However, it is difficult to remove them directly by traditional methods—it is a huge amount of work!
Insufficient equipment stability: Local plastic recycling equipment in South Africa is relatively basic, unsuitable for continuous operation over long periods, and prone to breakdowns that affect recycling efficiency.
Environmental pressure: The South African government requires PET recyclers to achieve a label removal rate of over 90% to meet export standards. Customers have only been able to achieve a 78% removal rate.
Suffering from the above plastic bottle recycling challenges, the customer searched for a suitable label removal solution and left us a message on Google.

After receiving the message, our sales manager contacted the customer to understand his production situation. Based on the actual needs he provided, the sales manager recommended our 1t/h plastic bottle label remover, which is suitable for small scale PET recycling scenarios. In addition, the label residue has been reduced from 20%+ to less than 2%, which is much lower than the government standard, realizing high-quality recycling of plastic bottles and expanding the high-end rPET market!
